Wagering requirements, conversion caps, and other small print that eats a bonus

A bonus is a loan with a homework assignment. The assignment is wagering. If the page says 10x on bonus, a £100 match means £1,000 of qualifying stakes before the extra funds are yours. If it says 40x on a 6,500 CAD pack, do the multiplication before you admire the billboard.

UKGC skins in this catalogue cluster around 10x on bonus cash. That is lower than the offshore 35x–50x habit, and it is still enough to consume a match when a conversion cap sits beside it. Several Jumpman offers convert only against lifetime deposits up to £250. The headline can say £200 or £600; the cap decides how much can ever leave.

0x is the exception worth highlighting. Woo’s CAD pack did not print a multiplier on the official copy we saw; we will not borrow Chan’s 40x to fill Woo’s silence.

Game weighting is the quiet second wagering rule. Some slots contribute 100%, some 20%, some zero. If the terms list contribution after you have already opted in, you are staking for a bonus that may not be counting. Read the contribution table the same day you read the 10x.

Max bet while a bonus is active is the third rail. Chan prints 8 CAD. UK pages often bury it. Breach it and the operator can void the lot — including deposits that felt like ‘yours’.

Treat no-deposit spins as a lab test: identity check, withdrawal friction, whether the cap is real. Do not ‘recover’ a capped win with a larger deposit. That is how a £50 ceiling becomes a £250 problem.
